This Week’s WOW (Word of the Week) – Balance

Doesn’t it feel like we are often times spinning plates to keep the balance in our lives?  When we are at work, we feel guilty because we aren’t spending enough time with our family.  When we are spending time with our family, we are thinking about our work.  It can be a vicious cycle.

Here are a few quick tips to help us have more balance.

1.  Be PRESENT!
This is my biggest tip.  When you work – work.  When You play – play.  Be wherever you are and enjoy.

2.  Examine to Improve
Is there a better way you can do what you are doing?  Can you delegate or make some minor adjustments to help you find more balance?

3.  Make Time for YOU
Do something for yourself.  Try going for a walk, reading a book or working out.  The more balanced we are mentally and physically, the better equipped we will be to make decisions to promote more balance in the lives of our family.
