Gulf Coast MA Championship

Master Gordon’s event is back with new location and all!! This has been an interesting year for all of us! This tournament will do double duty.

First, it will serve to closeout 2019-2020 season. Points from Sept 19, and Feb 20 will count towards this tournament to award 2019-2020 winners. This year they are awarding swords! They will also use this tournament to launch their 2020-2021 tournament season. Meaning points count twice!!Sparring has never been mandated and still isn’t. They will offer their normal divisions of musical, weapons, forms, self defense, and sparring.

Congratulations PTSDA Karate!

July 26-29 – Our team went to Washington, D.C. for the ITF World Championship. Everyone did an amazing job! We participated in seminars (judges and rank req), awards banquet, competition, demonstrations and testing. In addition, our team was heavily involved with setting up, conducting and closing down. Needless to say, everyone is pretty pumped about the experience.

A special thank-you to Master Joiner, Kyo Sa Nim Duane, Kyo Sa Nim DuFour, Mr. Fowler, Bryson Harden-Cooke and all our parents for representing our dojang in such a positive way. BTW – the next ITF World Championship is going to be in (drum roll please)…Orlando, FL at the Renaissance Sea World Hotel on August 6-9, 2020. Make plans now to be apart of the fun!

Good Luck PTSDA Karate Members!

Safe travels and best wishes to all PTSDA Karate students and instructors that are traveling to the 15th ITF World Championship in Washington, D.C. Congratulations 2018 Grand Champions!

Saturday, May 19 – Several of our students competed at the Gulf Coast Martial Arts Championship. Each of our members represented themselves and school in a positive way. Our Team brought home 6 Grand Championship Trophies! Congratulations to Kyo Sa Nim Bailey Duane (Grand Champion Forms, Weapons, Sparring), Mr. Cody Nelson (Grand Champion Forms), and Master DuFour (Grand Champion Master Forms & Sparring).

Our next Competition Team Practice will be on Saturday, June 2^nd (10-11am). Come out so we can help coach you improve for the next event!

Gulf Coast MA Championship – May 19th

We are excited for our students to go compete in Crestiview, FL this Saturday! Show your school spirit by competing or cheering on your classmates and instructors. To help prepare our students, we will have competition forms and sparring practice May 14-17 (during class time). Go PTSDA Karate!
