Kindness

The other day, I was on a supply run for some essential items. Honestly, I felt like I was in an episode of the Walking Dead. While keeping my appropriate distance, a gentlemen in front of me had checked out but then had forgotten to get something.

I could clearly see that he was frazzled. It would have been easy for me to tell him off and let him know that he just needed to go to the back of the line. Fortunately, I chose kindness over being right.

The gentleman, apologized several times. I told him that it was perfectly fine. It was really okay. Hopefully, the kindness displayed will continue to be passed on and on.

Let’s face it. Our patience is thin and kindness can be the last thing on our mind. I must confess that when I chose kindness, I felt wonderful and very empowered. Give kindness a try. It’s free.
